Mission Statement
Santa Barbara Adventure Boot Camp in affiliation with Physical Adventures is an organization dedicated to bettering the self-image of program participants through carefully selected and guided fitness regimens.

All About Boot Camp
Our four-week for women only outdoor fitness program is designed to rejuvenate and invigorate your body and your mind.  This program is designed for you, although we meet and work as a group the focus is on you, the individual.  Women in all stages of fitness are welcomed and encouraged to participate.  No one is ever left behind and everyone will be challenged to work at a level that is only safe for her.  The program will include fitness instruction, nutritional education and motivational training.

Remember, no matter what your fitness level or exercise habits have been, you can participate!  You will only compete against yourself but will work with others for the best results.  Under the watchful eye of your professional fitness trainer, you will become stronger and increase your stamina and be amazed at your accomplishments!

We understand how difficult it is to motivate yourself to increase your activity level, modify your diet and choose a healthier and happier lifestyle.  This program is designed to help you succeed in all areas.  You are not alone; every woman beside you at camp has goals similar to yours.  With their help and the help of your instructor, you will inspire each other to reach those goals.

1.   How do we begin?

You will participate in a pre-camp evaluation of your health and fitness level where we review your medical history, give you a complete professional physical assessment and answer any questions you have concerning your camp experience.  Your information and records are always confidential and not shared with anyone.  The purpose of all records is to design a program to meet your health requirements, your fitness level and to provide a method of evaluating your "post-camp" results.

2.   Where do we meet?

We will meet every day promptly at 5:30 a.m. at the location designated for your boot camp.  Come early and prepare yourself for an hour of fun and fitness.

3.   What is a typical day at boot camp?

Every day is intentionally different.  You will have core conditioning, cardio training and circuit training.  You can also expect basic calisthenics, stretching, mat work, PAR course, some short distance running (up to a mile), weight training, pilates, sport yoga, obstacle courses, tug-of-war, jumping rope and fun sport drills and games.  We may also arrange for a fun hike during the program.  Each day the challenges will slightly increase in intensity and fun!

4.   What do I need to bring?

Your camp pack consists of an exercise mat, a filled water bottle, small hand weights (no more than 10 pounds), running shoes, towel and comfortable workout clothes.  Optional items depending on the season should include gloves and a hat.  We always suggest layering when dressing; as you will have a tendency to warm-up fast!  It is also essential that you have a good pair of properly fitted running shoes as cross-trainers will not provide you with the support you will need for running.

5.   What will I get out of participating?

You will receive and notice a dramatic improvement in your physical well-being and self-confidence.  You will look and feel better as you push your intensity levels and reach a higher level of fitness than you expected.  You will tone your butt, hips, thighs and arms, flatten your stomach, and increases your strength and stamina, reduce your body fat and most of all build new friendships and networks.

You will also have access to the Affiliates of Santa Barbara Adventure Boot Camp, a group of carefully selected and highly recommended health professionals, dieticians, massage therapist, and other professionals, which can further assist you in achieving your continued health and fitness objectives.

6.   How much will it cost?

Each four-week program has a registration fee of only $299.  That's 5 days a week for an hour a day, totaling twenty (20) hours a week of professional instruction for only $14.95 per hour.  Personal trainers and other programs typically charge between $50.00 and $150.00 per hour without the additional help of nutritionists and other professionals.

We are now accepting pre-registration for our next camp.

·   ·   ·   ·   ·

7.   Other Options?

We can also offer a 3-day a week program at a cost of only $199.  Although you may not see the same results as fast as you would in a 5-day a week program, some women find the 3-day plan fits their needs.

·   ·   ·   ·   ·

8.   What if I sign up for the 3-day plan and then want to do more days?

After starting camp, many women realize how much fun and convenient it is so they request to sign up for more days.  In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp the greater the results.  In these situations, you will simply be pro-rated from the point you decide to join us for more days.
